Santa Clara, now home to the new Levi Stadium, is home of the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers. Superbowl 50 will be held at the cutting edge stadium. Due to a well run council and under reign of a new progressive Mayor Jamie Matthews, Santa Clara is a city taking off. Development is beginning to become the norm in Santa Clara. Shopping centers are popping up, new home developments are on the rise. The city of Santa Clara is primed and ready for growth.

Santa Clara was established in 1777 and was named after the Spanish Mission. The Mission of Santa Clara is the eighth stop out of 21 California Missions.The Mission and the Mission Gardens are located in Santa Clara University, the cities prestigious 4 year College. Santa Clara University is the oldest institution of higher learning in the State. Mission Community College is also available for education in Santa Clara.

Located in the middle of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara is home to many high-tech companies such as Intel, McAfee, Yahoo and Sun Microsystems.

Santa Clara entertainment includes Pruneridge Golf Course, a 9 hole golf course with pro shop and restaurant. The Triton Museum of Art, a museum for emphasising local and national artist featuring a 7 acre sculptural garden. Franklin Mall has many shops, restaurants and a long standing post office. The Mall is under planning from the city of Santa Clara to develop a ‘downtown’ style area. There is a Farmers Market each week with fresh fruits and vegetables along with live music. City concerts are held at Santa Clara’s Central Park one of the Cities 52 acres parks. Children’s playground and a botanical garden are among some of Central Parks amenities.

The city of Santa Clara also has a senior center and is available for free to all Santa Clara resident over 50. Hospitals are conveniently located within the city.

Numerous civic agencies are located in Santa Clara along with the Santa Clara Central Park Library with its 80,000 square feet of library floor space. This Library has group study rooms, over 100 public computers, high speed internet, a cafe and bookstore.
